Hey, I’m Steph.

Founder—Head Seamstress—Garment Care Specialist

Originally from a small town in southeastern New Mexico, I always knew a mountain town was calling. For the past 16 years, Flagstaff has been home. I live in my cozy blue house with my three spectacular kids — AnnieO, Stella Bella, and John-John. When life slows down, you’ll find us soaking up time with family and close friends, exploring our favorite downtown food-patio spots, catching local events, and saying a big YASSS to a good concert. And when the weather’s right, we’re outside until the sun goes down.

I learned to sew at six years old from my grandmother Betty, a competitive quilter, alongside my mom, Karen. From the beginning, sewing became the place where my creative brain came alive — especially during harder seasons of life. It was both an outlet and a grounding force, something steady I could always return to.

After moving back to Arizona, a chance Thanksgiving “leftovers” gathering introduced me to Barb, a seasoned seamstress with a generous heart and a passion for teaching. That meeting quietly changed everything. I apprenticed under Barb for two and a half years, and with her encouragement, stepped out on my own. I’ve been sewing professionally since 2009.

At 25, I opened my first sewing business and said yes to nearly everything — home décor, custom projects, outdoor and river gear, denim repairs, leather jackets, formal wear, and more. I loved the challenge of making things work and figuring out the impossible. Over time, my work naturally led me into bridal. I’ve now transformed hundreds of wedding gowns — no two ever alike — and this has become both my deepest expertise and greatest passion.

My intention is simple: that every person who walks through my door feels seen, heard, and cared for. I want you to feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful as your truest self. I want this process to feel grounded, connected, and memorable — not stressful. The kind of experience I would want for myself.

Meet Emily.
