Why is a booking deposit required?
It is equally as important for me to know you are invested in this process. Sewing is a quickly dying trade. My skill level and time away from my family is something I hold dear. I want to know that those I am working with value what I have to offer. For whatever reason if us working together is not a compatible fit, as an entrepreneur I am covering the cost of our time spent together.
What is included in my custom package?
EVERYTHING. All fittings at 45 minutes per meeting. All adjustments needed to meet our desired look. Based on the initial consult, your package price will cover all anticipated work based on construction, difficulty level, number of layers, etc. No additional fees or pricing will be added throughout the process.
What are the different package options?
Packages vary based on the customization of the alterations and the uniqueness of the dress. Time, labor, multiple alteration adjustments, fittings, potential supplies, the experience and delivery are all factored into your custom packaging. Bridal party packages range between $175-475. Wedding gown packages range from $500-$1500. Reconstruction packages range from $1500-$3000.
When can I anticipate my dress being done?
One of my initial criteria is the customer inquires within an appropriate time window to be able to complete all necessary alterations. Some brides prefer their dresses early in advance, others are comfortable waiting up to 2 weeks before the wedding. This all varies based on personality type, anticipated changes in body size, or convenience of scheduling.
Why do I need so many fittings?
It is my priority and promise to execute a desirable, quality product. In order to get there, that requires patience and acknowledgment that fabric is fluid. As the dress changes, so can the fabric. So in order to maintain the integrity of the dress design, multiple fittings are necessary. Quick fixes are always an option, but it is important to remember this can quickly jeopardize the dress if not done correctly.
How long does a fitting last?
Some of the time is based on personal preference. I set aside a 45 minute slot for wedding gowns and 30 for wedding party members. However, I personally will only need 30 for wedding gown and 15 for wedding party members. Many times the clock will pass faster if additional guests are invited to come or if we become engaged in quality convo. It we reach an hour, I will wrap things up to be respectful of one another’s time commitments.
